Tabitha obtained her Master in Science (MSci) from the University of Bristol in Neuroscience with a year in industry. For the industrial placement part of this degree, Tabitha joined the Neurosciences R&D department of Janssen Pharmaceutica in Belgium. There, she worked under the guidance of Dr. Abdellah Ahnaou, focusing on implementing high-frequency stimulation protocols in anaesthetized rats.
In 2019, Tabitha embarked on her Alzheimer's Research UK-funded PhD project at the University of Edinburgh. Under the supervision of Dr. Szu-Han Wang and Professor Karen Horsburgh, her research concentrated on learning, memory, and learning modulation in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease, and combined behavioural, pharmacological and optogenetic approaches.
In June 2023, Tabitha joined the Dupret Group as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where she will use optogenetics and large-scale single-unit recordings combined to study memory-guided behaviour.
