Benoit Duchet

Research Student

Benoit Duchet graduated from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, France, with an “engineering diploma” in 2010. He then completed an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London in 2011. Benoit has wide interests in the biomedical research field; his M.Sc. research project was in tissue engineering. After completing his M.Sc., Benoit worked as a R&D Engineer in the medical devices (imaging) industry in Paris until September 2016.

Benoit is currently pursuing his D.Phil. at the University of Oxford as part of Dr. Rafal Bogacz’s Group. Benoit’s thesis research is focused on studying the neural circuits affected by Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor through computational methods, with the aim of improving existing therapeutic interventions, such as deep brain stimulation.
