Patricia Cambalova

Research Student

Patricia started her DPhil in the Stagg group in October 2020, where she uses a novel a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) device that enables selective activation of different neurons in the brain, which may help us understand how some neurodegenerative disorders progress. She also uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), and magnetoencephalography (MEG) in her research. She is funded by the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN).

Patricia previously graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience from The University of Edinburgh in 2019. She then completed a MSc in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, during which she joined the Stagg group working on TMS project looking at cortical activity changes in patients with motor neuron disease.
