Julian Ng Kee Kwong

Julian Ng Kee Kwong obtained his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Edinburgh, where he also completed an intercalated BMedSci in developmental biology and pursued research in clinical neuroscience, molecular biology and computational biology.

Following his MSc in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, Julian joined the labs of Thomas Akam and Rafal Bogacz in 2025 as part of the 1+3 DPhil in Neuroscience programme. His doctoral research broadly aims to understand the learning algorithms employed by the cortex and basal ganglia to support flexible, adaptive behaviour.
