Ali Kavoosi

Ali graduated with a first class degree in B.Eng Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield. While at Sheffield, he developed a classifier for motor imagery as part of his project on Brain Computer Interfaces.

Ali joined the Unit in October 2021 as an MRC-funded student under the supervision of Professor Tim Denison and Associate Professor Hayriye Cagnan. His research focuses on designing tools to enable therapies in a home environment with a particular focus on developing hardware infrastructure and classifiers. His main research interests include sleep and disorders of consciousness.
