Research Student

Isaac Grennan graduated with a first-class degree in Medical Science, specialising in neuroscience, from the University of Oxford in 2019. During his undergraduate studies, Isaac completed a research project in the Unit which looked at the activity correlates of drug-place memory and extinction in interneurons in the nucleus accumbens.

Isaac is now pursuing a D.Phil. as a member of the Sharott Group and Cagnan Group. His research focuses on using spatiotemporal patterns of cortical stimulation to bidirectionally bring about corticostriatal plasticity, with a view to inspiring innovative therapeutics for neurological and psychiatric disorders.
