Dr. Eva Zita Patai

Postdoctoral Neuroscientist

Eva Zita Patai completed her D.Phil. in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford, and has since gone on to do postdoctoral research at University College London and at Oxford with Prof. Varga-Khadem, Prof. Kia Nobre, and Prof. Hugo Spiers. Zita's work has focussed on human memory and the hippocampus, across health, disease and ageing. She has worked with a variety of neuroimaging and electrophysiological methods (fMRI, MEG, EEG), and is interested in the clinical application of knowledge about how neural oscillations underlie complex cognitive functions such as memory, navigation, decision making and attention.

Zita joined the Bogacz Group in May 2019 to further her understanding of the dynamics of decision making in Parkinson's disease. Her research combines neuroimaging (MEG) with recordings from Deep Brain Stimulation electrodes.
